Villa Gamberaia is located on the hills of Florence, about a fifteen minute drive from the city centre, overlooking the Arno valley.

By car it is not advisable to enter “Villa Gamberaia” into GPS, as the shortest route is very narrow and uncomfortable (as we found out when our Fiat 500 got stuck on our first visit!)

We therefore recommend that you enter Piazza Niccolò Tommaseo in Settignano as your destination, which will take you through Via Gabriele D’Annunzio. Once you reach the piazza, follow the signs for Villa Gamberaia.

Parking is located on Via del Loretino, which is a short walk from the villa, we recommend dropping off ladies in heels at the villa before parking the car.

Taxi’s are the most advisable form of arriving at the villa. We highly recommend arranging taxis as soon as you get to Florence. You should know ahead of time that in Italy taxis cannot be flagged down as they pass you along the street! Taxis are instead "stationed" at special taxi parking stands in most of the major squares and at the airport and they can be requested by phone or through your accommodation.
